SiarScéal Fesitval 2012, hosted by Roscommon County Library Services will take place from Thursday, March 22nd to Sunday 25th 2012. Full details of the programme of events can be downloaded here. 

Included among the activities that will take place over the four days are: 

• • a screening of Bloomsday Cabaret featuring James Joyce and how his love for music influenced his written work

  • poetry to music workshop

  • launch and readings of Siarscéal Festival Anthology 2012

  • classical recital held in St Comans Church

  • Heritage/culture tour to Rathcroghan the Royal Celtic site of the Warrior Queen Maeve and the Cruachan Aí Centre

  • Hanna Greally Literary Competition 2012. Closing date for entry is Friday January 27th 2012. Details available here.
