Verona Pentony is a poet with a love of humanity and of nature: a love nurtured and distilled from her earliest childhood experiences, growing up on a farm in north Co. Dublin and from summer holidays in Co. Leitrim.
She is inspired by nature, spirituality, political events, leadership and world peace. She has a keen interest in travel and, due to a previous career as a hotel manager, she had the opportunity to travel internationally. In her current role, she travels the length and breadth of Ireland.
Reflections of Time is Verona’s second published collection of poetry. She wrote Another Time, Another Place while on holiday in Los Suenos, Costa Rica and Santa Eulalia Shoreline when in Albufeira, Portugal. She also wrote whilst in London and more recently in Dublin.
Since publishing her first collection, Reflections from the Heart in 2012, Verona has visited and participated in many literary festivals throughout Ireland, including the Swift Satire Festival (in Trim, Co. Meath), the Kells Hay Festival and the Bailieborough and Listowel Writers’ Weeks.
Verona has a passion for reading her own work. She has been privileged to have been invited to read for the Meath Writers’ Circles in 2013, as well as a host of other groups, clubs, events and organisations.
